I would like to thank Firth.com for brightening my day. (above picture also from firth.com) Now I want to begin by stating that I have loved ABBA since childhood. I can remember carefree days as a child in the '70s, and hearing ABBA on the radio. Mamma Mia was my favorite tune of theirs. Thanks to my Mom for playing it on the radio (as opposed to the also loved country music station). When I heard a few years ago about the Broadway musical Mamma Mia, I was dying to see it. Of course I haven't - Harry Potter movies are about as cultured as I get these days.
Then I read a few weeks ago that a movie version was coming out starring Meryl Streep. Wow! Sounds great. Well, it just gets better. Pierce Brosnan also stars - but the real excitement is that Colin Firth is once again showcasing his enormous talent! I have only heard him sing in The Importance of Being Ernest and I can't wait to hear him again. Next summer...

Perhaps a trip to Broadway, or Vegas where the Mamma Mia production is supposedly best, is in order! I've been wanting to see it as well, but alas, not Jive's cup of tea.
